C.H.A.M.P. is aimed at addressing the status of healthcare for children in urban India. The first phase of the project consisted of spreading awareness and fostering a greater understanding of medical needs and necessities in communities of Delhi-NCR. We achieved this by executing workshops with a curriculum targeting low-income communities with little to no access to health education and facilities. Their first community partner has been ActionAid, an NGO dedicated to aiming to improve wellbeing in underserved communities. We have so far conducted nine sessions on different aspects of personal hygiene from August 2019 - Jan 2020. The second phase was a crowdfunding campaign initiated in May 2020.

The aim of the campaign was to raise funds to tackle healthcare issues for children studying at Kamala Rani Sanghi School (KRSS) located 30 km on the outskirts of Hyderabad at Sanghi Nagar, Telangana. KRSS is a budget school completing 28 years. It caters to more than 800 children of workers, laborers, and other low-income families from the surrounding areas. These children are at the bottom of the pyramid with limited access to resources to take care of their day-to-day needs. The aim of the campaign was to raise INR 2,50,000 and we are delighted to inform that we surpassed our goal in 20 days with 39 contributors. We plan to utilize these funds by setting up annual health checkup camps for all students & staff and help schools take up necessary measures in these unusual times of pandemic Covid-19. We are currently working on Student Health Manual for schools and an App that can digitally store all Medical records of children.
